Lynn, one of the citizens honored with a Disability Advocate of the Year proclamation, prior to City Council Public Session on October 13 at City Hall. Gary works to improve the quality of life for people with cerebal palsy through his advocacy and his foundation, the Gary J. Lynn Foundation. White Cane Day 10.15.09On October 15, Sue represented the City of Houston by presenting a proclamation on the City Hall steps honoring White Cane Safety Day in the city. White Cane Safety Day is set aside nationally to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and to recognize the white cane, the symbol of independence for people living with visual impairment.
