“Sue is getting the job done for our families, for our economy and for our entire city.”
Houston TX – Today the Sue Lovell Campaign released a list of prominent African American community leaders who have endorsed her campaign for re-election to Houston City Council At-Large Position 2.
“One of the best things about serving at-large is the honor of representing every community in every corner of Houston,” said Lovell. “I deeply appreciate the support of these leaders and their work in making Houston better for all of us.”
The Rev. Dr. William A. Lawson, founding Pastor of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, said: “I endorsed Sue Lovell in 2005 and she has far exceeded my expectations. Sue is getting the job done for our families, for our economy and for our entire city. I’m voting for Sue Lovell in November and ask every Houstonian to join me.”
Shondra Wygal, President Emeritus, Texas Young Democrats, added: “Sue Lovell gets results. In these tough times, Sue helped pass a city budget that protects vital services and adds more police officers to the force without raising taxes. That’s the leadership we need at City Hall.”
Lovell said her campaign is continuing to reach out to the African American community and every community in Houston: “We are working hard. I am so honored that more and more Houstonians are joining our campaign every day.” Leaders endorsing Sue Lovell today include:
