Vice Mayor Pro Tem and Council Member Sue Lovell honored the Shell Houston Open golf tournament by proclaming November 11 “Shell Houston Open-A Chance for Children Day” and presenting a mayoral proclamation on behalf of the City of Houston. After making the proclamation, Council Member Lovell posed with the facsimile check representing the Shell Houston Open contribution of more than $2.1 million from its 2009 tournament along with Shell Houston Open and Shell Oil Company officials and youth from the organizations that benefit from Shell Houston Open support.
